As a final project for my exhibition design class in December of 2017, I created a hypothetical exhibit at the Manetti Shrem Museum at UC Davis. Pages shown below include excerpts from the 60 page, physical proposal. This extensive project required numerous skills, including organization of both materials and the layout of the museum itself, creation of both 2D and 3D scale models, interior, marketing, and graphic design, collaboration of experts in various fields for research purposes, concept art and an understanding of space, all whilst working within strict deadlines.

FAR OUT is an exhibit that curates escapism through various mediums from the counterculture movements of the 60s and 70s psychedelic era. FAR OUT aims to create a conversation among its visitors, asking them to consider whether counterculture still exists today by viewing a collection of art pieces created during a 21st century transcendence through the arts.

EXHIBIT SECTIONS: 

Color coded map of each section of the museum containing counterculture photography, music room, etc.

MASSING STUDY:

Map showing the prediction of the routes of museum visitors in the forms of streaker (moves through quickly), stroller (takes their time), and studier (looks closely and reads each art installation).

ITEM MAP:

Map depicting the exact placement of each art piece as it coordinates with the item list.
